JetBlue Plus Card Review

The JetBlue Plus Card offers everything you never knew you needed from the original JetBlue Cardplus, so much more! Cardholders gain access to all the things they enjoyed with the original JetBlue Card, with some added benefits. From TrueBlue points that can be redeemed at anytime (and don’t expire), to “points pooling” with a friend or relative, as you earn and share TrueBlues; you can expect the same rewards program from your old card, with this upgraded one.

Redeeming points are the same, via jetblue.com/trueblue, and as with the original, the JetBlue Plus Card offers cardholders the ability to redeem points for any flight seat, at any time. With that said, there are some major differences between the two credit cards, and JetBlue Plus Card does offer some enhanced features.

Let’s start with the “welcome offer”! New cardholders can collect up to 40,000 bonus TrueBlue points in their first 90 days with the credit card if they charge a minimum of $1,000 on their JetBlue Plus. After that, a cardholder collects six points on every dollar charged on purchases through JetBlue, two TrueBlue points for every dollar charged for groceries, and at restaurants, as well as one point for every dollar on anything else purchased via their Plus credit card. An added benefit includes free first-checked luggage when traveling with JetBlue.

But the points-earning potential doesn’t stop there! JetBlue Plus cardholders gain access to 5,000 TrueBlue bonus points each year after your account celebrates their first anniversary.

Additional “pluses” include enjoying access to TrueBlue Mosaic rewards after you charge $50,000+ each year with the credit card. TrueBlue Mosaic unleashes a travel rewards program like no other! Not only will you gain access to a bonus of 15,000 points when you qualify for Mosaic, but you also collect an added three points on each dollar spent for JetBlue flight seats, and a minimum of five points for each dollar if you book through the JetBlue app or website.

That’s just the beginning. Under TrueBlue Mosaic, cardholders are not charged cancellation or changing fees, and travel companions can be eligible for this as well. Your first two checked bags are free, and travel companions on your itinerary are also eligible for these benefits. Under this program, points can be used for Even More Space JetBlue seats, but at a significant decrease in rate. You also gain access to your gate that much faster, placed in a fast-pass line at security. JetBlue Plus Card travelers are also given early access to board the plane, which means early access to that bin space above the seating. Enjoy free cocktails while flying as a TrueBlue Mosaic member, and you gain access to a special customer service line, 24-7.

With the JetBlue Plus Card, you are given back 10% of your TrueBlue reward points when you receive them, which can be used for your next reward. You also get a credit on your statement of $100 when you buy a Vacations package.

Much like the JetBlue original card, there are no foreign transaction fees when shopping internationally on vacay, plus, you gain access to a 50% savings when you charge food and drinks while flying on JetBlue. Enjoy the chip-card technology with your Plus, as well as $0 fraud liability protection; so you never have to worry about the unauthorized use of your credit card. The Plus also offers an intro 0% when it comes to balance transfers made in the first 45 days of your account, for 12 months.

There’s only one small catch, and it comes in the form of an annual fee. The JetBlue Plus Card comes at a cost of $99 each year; however, with all the benefits stacked with it, this might be more than worth the small amount paid annually, especially if you are an avid traveler with JetBlue.
