Tangerine World Mastercard Review

The Tangerine World Mastercard is one of the most lucrative cash-back credit cards today. As part of the application process, the user chooses to receive awards from two preferred options. You can choose to receive your 2% reward in two categories: home improvement, recurring bill payments, entertainment, groceries and more. If you decide to deposit your rewards into a savings account managed by Tangerine, you receive a third cash-back category.

There is no annual fee for cardholders when approved for this credit card. It also comes with a series of features that are worth considering.

Benefits of Using the Tangerine World Mastercard

Users gain access to six unique benefits when they apply for and receive approval for a new line of credit with the Tangerine World Mastercard. These features are in addition to the 2% money-back rewards offered to cardholders.

    1. Wi-Fi Connections

This credit card provides access to over one million hotspots globally through Boingo Wi-Fi. It is a feature available only to Mastercard holders, and it is available immediately upon activation.

    2. Subscription Services

A growing set of on-demand and subscription-based services are available through the Tangerine World Mastercard to give users a significant series of benefits, offers, and discounts.

    3. Insurance for Mobile Devices

Users of the Tangerine World Mastercard receive up to $1,000 in costs if a mobile device gets stolen, lost, or accidentally damaged, including mechanical failure. Users receive protection for smartphones, tablets, or cellular devices when purchased with this card.

    4. Travel Rewards

Users receive cash-back with select merchants outside of Canada.

    5. Insurance for Rental Cars

Users receive theft and damage protection for rental cars with the Tangerine World Mastercard for up to 31 consecutive days. Users must charge the entire expense of the rental to this line of credit.

    6. Airport Perks

The Tangerine World Mastercard provides LoungeKey access through a complimentary membership. Cardholders receive exclusive spa, retail, and dining offers for over 1,000 lounges and 400 airports globally.

Rates, Fees, and Cost Review of the Tangerine World Mastercard

The Tangerine World Mastercard provides a competitive 19.95% APR for new applicants – although the rate is subject to change. Some people may qualify for a promotional rate or balance transfer fee reduction as part of the overall approval process.

Fees for going over the limit, having a payment method fail, or securing a rushed card are $25, respectively. If you purchase an item in a foreign currency, a 2.5% conversion charge will apply. Interest-free grace periods are available for purchases, but this feature does not apply to any cash advances that you may make.

When you keep your account active and in good standing, you can receive a lifetime maximum of $60,000 in warranty coverage from the Tangerine World Mastercard to cover loss, theft, or damage on newly purchased items for up to 90 days from the date of purchase. It also provides an extended warranty for repair services for a maximum of one year.

If you want a rewards card that provides cash-back benefits and several valuable features, the Tangerine World Mastercard checks all of the boxes.
