TD Rewards Visa Card Review

Most consumers these days choose a rewards credit card. After all, if a client can pay the balance off every month, it makes sense to charge everyday spending on a credit card to collect points that can be redeemed for travel or other extras. The TD Rewards Visa* Card provides just this, and more. With no annual fee attached to it and no additional cost for added cardholders, it allows clients to collect redeemable loyalty points and offers other benefits and perks.

First off, the welcome bonus allows clients to collect 15,152 TD Rewards points if they can keep this account open, active, and in good standing for the first three months. These points equal out to $50 worth of shopping on Amazon.ca. Included in this offer is a promotional interest rate of 9.99% for the first six months of owning the Visa. It’s important to note that this sign-up bonus expires on September 6, 2021. Earn TD Rewards Points+ to use at Amazon.ca with Shop with Points. Plus, get a 9.99% promotional interest rate on purchases for the first 6 months with no annual fee. Conditions apply. The application deadline is September 6, 2021.

Through the TD Rewards Visa, customers can earn 3 points for each $1 spent on travel when booked through ExpediaForTD.com. As well, 2 points are collected for each $1 spent on restaurant and fast-food purchases, groceries, and pre-authorized bill payments. Clients earn 1 point for each $1 spent on everything else.

TD Rewards points can be redeemed for travel, merchandise, cash back against credit card balances, gift cards, and more. There are no blackout dates or seat restrictions for travel. Points can also be placed towards Amazon.ca purchases. These TD Rewards points don’t expire as long as clients keep their account open and in good standing.

Additional perks for TD Reward Visa cardholders include a yearly discount towards a Priority Pass membership which gives clients access to 1,200 VIP lounges in airports across the globe. Plus, customers are given discounts at Avis and Budget rent-a-car companies, and a free TD Auto Club Membership for emergency roadside assistance, 24/7. Lastly, the Visa comes with an Extended Warranty and Purchase Security Protection.

    TD Platinum Travel Visa Card

A level up from the TD Rewards card is the TD Platinum Travel Visa. The annual fee for this credit card is $89 for the primary cardholder, a supplementary card costs $35, and $0 for any additional cards. Customers get all the benefits from the Visa highlighted above, with some added rewards and perks.

The welcome offer on Platinum Travel is 40,000 TD Rewards points, which is a travel value of $200 when booking through ExpediaForTD.com. Clients earn 15,000 after their first purchase, and an added 25,000 when they spend $1,000 within the first three months of having the credit card. Customers also receive a rebate on annual fees for the first and secondary cardholders if both of the above actions have been completed. This sign-up bonus expires May 30, 2021.

TD Platinum Travel Visa cardholders collect 5 points for each $1 charged through ExpediaForTD.com for travel bookings. Clients also earn 3 points for each $1 spent on pre-authorized bill payments and groceries, as well as 2 points for every $1 spent on anything else.

In addition to the benefits included in the no-fee Rewards Visa, the TD Platinum Travel Visa offers Flight/Trip Delay Insurance, Lost and Delayed Baggage, Common Carrier Travel Accident, Emergency Travel Assistance, as well as Auto Rental Collision/ Loss Damage protection.

TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card

The  TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite provides the ultimate in rewards and benefits. The annual cost is slightly higher than the Platinum Travel at $120 for a primary cardholder, and $50 for the secondary. All other cardholders on the account are free. Clients should note that there is an annual income requirement for this credit card, which is set at $60,000 for an individual, and $100,000 for a household.

The welcome offer for this Visa is 60,000 TD Rewards points, which is a $300 travel value when booking via ExpediaForTD.com. Cardholders get 20,000 bonus points after their first purchase, and 40,000 once $1,500 is spent within the first three months of account opening. This offer expires May 30, 2021.

Clients earn 9 TD Rewards points for each $1 spent when booking travel through ExpediaForTD.com and 3 points for every $1 spent on all other purchases made.
