Belk Rewards Card Review

Belk is a department store chain with over 300 locations throughout the United States. The chain was founded in 1888 in North Carolina, USA under the name “The New York Racket,” and after evolving several times over the years, it has become the Belk chain of stores that serves customers today. Belk stores and their website Belk.com offer apparel, shoes, accessories, home furnishings, and cosmetics.

    Belk Rewards Credit Cards

The Belk Rewards card is a store credit card:  it can only be used in Belk stores and through their online store. The card gives Belk shoppers access to many great features and benefits, including a customer loyalty program. You can save 20% on most products when you make a purchase on the first day your account is opened. You also receive a 1,000-point bonus on that first charge, which earns you $10-worth of rewards redeemable at the store. Earn 3 points for every $1 purchased on your Belk store credit card, and there is also no annual fee.

The Belk Rewards store credit card provides customers with 20 exclusive savings events annually, as well as Bonus Rewards days throughout the year.

With all that said, earn even more rewards when you upgrade to a Belk Rewards Mastercard. You get all the benefits of a Belk Rewards store card but can also use it anywhere Mastercard is accepted across the world. In fact, the more you use it, the more rewards you get! Earn 3% cashback when you spend up to $599 annually in Belk stores; earn 4% back when you spend between $600 to $1,499 each year on Belk items; or earn 5% cashback when you spend $1,500 or higher in Belk stores annually. Plus, you earn 2% on added gas and grocery purchases and 1% on all other non-Belk store purchases.

Belk Reward Mastercard holders also gain exclusive savings events, Belk Reward days, flexible payment options, a special birthday bonus, and “pick-your-own” sale days! The card has a tap function, which makes payment contactless, faster, easier, and offers a layer of security.

Both cards allow for revolving credit, but the higher APRs found on these credit products usually means that paying your balance off each month is the best way to go. You can manage your account online or on the Belk app (which can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play), where customers can also make purchases, redeem points, and make payments to their credit card.
